About Me

Robin: Yes, my life has changed! This past year has been one of adjusting, healing and letting go, letting go of a no longer needed identity and finding a new center. The past thirty years my focus was my daughter's disease, cystic fibrosis and fighting her lung infections. On November 22, 2010 she received new lungs and now is living a new life with good health as a double lung recipient. We are no longer fighting for her life and breath. This is a huge change for me. So many decisions were made around this chronic illness. I am no longer needed as the super mom caregiver any more. Now I am simply, Mom. This shift has been more profound than I ever imagined it to be. Now, I want my focus to be on my creative side. I want to give to and let go into this part of me that I put on hold so many times because of my daughter's illness. This change has happened because of what feels like a miracle. Gratitude is the quality that fills this new space in my life. I hope through being me, The Curly Haired Woman, and opening more and more to my creative life I can express this gratitude in my creations and in my offerings to other women who also search for their voice in the midst of it all.
